ACF 1837: NEW DIRECTORS/NEW FILMS 2013 begins tomorrow

NEW DIRECTORS/NEW FILMS 2013

and The Roy and Niuta Titus Theater 1 at MoMA

Now in its 42nd year, the renowned New Directors/New Films festival, presented jointly by The Museum of Modern Art and the Film Society of Lincoln Center, introduces New York audiences to the work of emerging or not-yet-established filmmakers from around the world.

In this crafty reworking of part of the 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West, Emperor Li Shimin is now a bureaucratic boss in a big city, where the crooked Dragon King’s attempt to change the weather has backfired and condemned him to death.
